That damn rock, I see it every day lol. This week there was some car commercial filming there. Didnt see what car they were doing but the stupid traffic it caused as they shut it down sure was annoying. Always some wild stuff driving through there too. I get to wave to Miatas and STis around there every day which is neat. I have found that I get WAY more return waves from the Subarus.

I love the rock. It’s an iconic PCH landmark to me. But I could see being triggered if I related it to bad traffic on my way to work.
I rarely got waves back in the Miata, which is a shame haha
PS, I didn’t forget about your paint. My friend’s dad hasn’t gotten back yet (I’m assuming it’s a no) and I haven’t called the guy from FChat yet because I might see him in person this weekend.

Two years next month! This is just the day I went and looked at it. But really, I don’t know where the past two years went. Time is flying!

Thank you! It still puts a smile on my face every time I look in the garage or go for a drive.

No rush, my lack of paint cant get any worse by waiting lol. I usually can get waves back from NA/NB if they have a roll bar or are the younger crowd. Its the fucking olds that ignore me all the time, especially in the NCs. Pretty much every subaru returns it every time which is always excellent.
I do also enjoy the landmark. Its not usually backed up there, but there are quite a few tourists driving around there ignoring the no left turn signs and in general looking lost. Anyone who goes less than 70 on the PCH is the devil also but I dont complain much when stuck going slower because at least there is a ton to look at.

They probably get all confused with all the people waving haha. And that is the great thing about PCH. It’s nice even when you are going slow and cruising

And the weather is always perfect down there. The last couple of months there were pretty much nonstop days of high 90s at home but it rarely got above 80 down at the water, usually closer to 70-75. There were a few days where I just stayed on the PCH longer just to avoid the heat and cruise some more lol. The canyons are more exciting but its nice to just chill sometimes.

That’s why I live by the beach ;)
The trade-off is I don’t have AC so it can be bad for 1-2 weeks a year. But our power bill is always cheap (except during December when I have my lights up and the heat goes on once or twice)

haha my electricity bill was something like $250 for July-August (i dont understand why its billed in two month increments). But all of the other bills have been like $60.
